New in 2010

New Event, New Sponsor and New Dates for 2010

With the 2009 season well behind us, next season is looming just around the corner, and plans for the 2010 season are well under way. This year will be the 10th Anniversary of the CLEC ( Columbia Carlingford Lough Endurance Challenge, details of which will be up on site in the coming months.

After joining the event in 2009 the Columbia Sportswear Company, played an integral part in the success of the 2009 CLEC, Blackrock & Carlingford Triathlons and will continue to take these events into the new decade.

Columbia Sportswear will be on offer at this and other events throughout the year, offering clothing and sports equipment for participants and categories winners in the various events.
Columbia products such as  the RAVENOUS  trail running shoe, and the MOBEX  back-pack and Titanium T-shirts are designed to enhance your racing experience whilst allowing you to focus on the adventure ahead of you.

The 2010 challenge will take place on Saturday, 10th July, 2010 and will once again welcome participants from all corners of the Emerald Isle to the start and finish location at Carlingford Sailing Club.

New for 2010:

With the increased popularity in off/road events in recent years the Saturday, 24th April, 2010 will see the inaugural Columbia Cooley Legends Half Marathon ( It will be 60% off/road, while the remainder will stay to the minor country roads.

You will be taken the short distance to the start by bus, and from there, join The Táin Trail for the half-marathon route back to the finish in the village of Carlingford.
